Working out can be challenging when you a.) own a company, b.) work full-time, c.) are a full-time mom, d. ) all of the above 🙋🏼♀️! Whatever your situation is, you owe it to yourself to squeeze in a little “me time”!
I didn’t always workout or eat healthy. My life felt like it was constant chaos…”organized chaos”, as I like to call it! I felt like I never had time for me, but along the way I realized I needed to workout and eat healthy to be able to manage my busy life! For me, it’s always about finding a way to simplify the things in my life, so that I stick with them and they are manageable with my schedule.
I found a few items and techniques that have made working out regularly and eating healthy manageable for me, so I wanted to share them with you in hopes that it helps you too be able to create a more manageable routine!
First, (typically on Sundays) I plan out my weekly meals, create my shopping list, and go to the store.
Second, I try to get in at least 15-30 minutes a day of exercise. The point is to make it a habit, so that you stick with it. Don’t stress if you can’t fit in a whole workout, take a 15 minutes walk at lunch or try stopping a local yoga studio on your way home for an evening class.
Third, I try to drink lots of water during the day and using the Larq water bottle below has made it super easy to have a glass anywhere.
Fourth, I opt for healthy snacks like celery and hummus when I don’t have time for lunch. Plan these out, so you know what you can grab quickly when you’re short on time.
